From 1993 to 2003, Gilles Panizzi was an official Peugeot works driver. In the 1990s, he helped develop the legendary Peugeot 306 Maxi and went on to dominate the French rally scene. In 1998, after claiming his second national title, Peugeot entered him in the WRC (2L category). At the Monte Carlo Rally, he made headlines with a stage win in SS2, finishing 9th overall and first in class!
