Description

The Opel Blitz Fire Truck is based on the legendary Opel Blitz project, aimed at mass-producing a robust and reliable commercial vehicle. Production began in the early 1930s at Rüsselsheim with a typically American layout and continued successfully until the mid-1970s.

Thanks to its sturdy construction, the Opel Blitz was also used by the Wehrmacht during World War II in both 4x2 and 4x4 versions. After the war, it played a key role in Germany’s reconstruction, serving merchants, craftsmen, and industrialists. Among the many specialized versions produced, this fire truck is one of the most iconic.
