Description
The UH-1D Iroquois is renowned for its exceptional reliability and rugged construction and has been operating worldwide since the mid-1960s. It is widely regarded as the most recognisable helicopter ever built. Developed for the U.S.

Army during the Vietnam War, the UH-1D was deployed in very large numbers, fulfilling roles such as troop transport, medical evacuation and combat support.

Following its service in Vietnam, the UH-1D was licence-built in Italy, Germany and Japan, and adopted by military forces and police units in over fifty countries. Twin-engine derivative versions remain in production, highlighting the enduring value of the original design.
