Description

The M47 Patton was a U.S. medium tank developed in the early 1950s to strengthen American armored forces. Compared to the earlier M46, it featured improved armor protection and significantly enhanced firepower thanks to the 90 mm M3 gun mounted in the turret.

Weighing around 46 tons and powered by an 810 hp air-cooled Continental V12 engine, the M47 reached a top speed of approximately 45 km/h. In addition to U.S. service, it was widely used by NATO countries throughout the Cold War and saw combat in various conflicts worldwide.
